Useful Championships Information

At FMC we do our best to support the people whose help we reply on throughout the fortnight. In this section you will find information on subjects that we are frequently asked questions about. We are sure that not all of your questions will be answered here, so feel free to call us at any time with any queries you may have, no matter how trivial they may seem.

Period of Work

The engagement period for The Championships, Wimbledon 2012 is 23rd June to 8th July 2012 inclusive. You will need to be available for the whole period. The middle Sunday is usually a day off for many areas, but you must be available to work should the order of play and the weather dictate. We require a number of staff to work from May - mid July, so please do indicate on your application the earliest dates you are available.

Renumeration

You will be paid weekly, in arrears, by BACS into a UK bank account. If you are self-employed you will be contacted by a member of the recruitment team to ensure that you are registered as a vendor with Compass Group.

P45s are issued ONLY upon request any time from the end of July.

P60s are automatically issued at the end of the tax year and sent to the home address on your application.

Holiday Pay

All holiday pay accrued for all PAYE employees, over the period of The Championships, Wimbledon 2012 is issued ONLY upon request. You have until the end of the holiday year, (31st March 2013), to request any monies owed. The holiday year runs from 1st April to 31st March.

Security

All staff will be issued with a photographic security pass which will gain access to the grounds, and which must be worn at all times whilst at work.

You must respect the stringent security measures that are taken during The Championships and comply with all rules applicable to FMC staff. These will be explained to you at your induction.

Uniform

FMC takes great pride in the personal presentation of the teams at Wimbledon. We are frequently complimented on how our staff look. We invest a lot of time and money in our uniforms to ensure that they are not just smart and practical but also pleasant to wear.
